Camera Pretenda

The very lovely Poster of Occasional Comments saw this before I took it off, in shame of not being able to figure out the neat link thing... If any one is passing who can explain how to do it, then I will be off and away. The clip is worth watching, despite the cut and paste effort with the URL!

I just found this, won't say much - but it made me think, really made me think. So much so, that I can't sum it up in a neat little phrase and won't even try. Apparently it really did happen.

ps apologies, the link thing not working..

Open the edit post/new post page. Choose a word you want to link to, paint it and click that green ball above.
It says enter a URL. Obey it and enter the url you want. Click ok and your link is ready.

Or use this html code:

place the url between " " and a word you want (e.g. link) between ><.
Like this:
link

Hmph. It is impossible to explain any computer stuff in foreign language.

Thankyou! Explaining computer stuff if a foreign language in itself...

Apparently the html code I wrote disappeared. Typical.Of course it will disappear if I write it like that. Hmph. Just how stupid can one be, I wonder?

Why didn't I just give you this link?

As I'm passing...

On the toolbar above where you type, next to justify left/right/centre, there's an icon that looks like two links of a chain on a green blob. When you highlight some text and then click on that icon a box comes up - just put the URL in there. You'll then have yourself a link.

Anyway, thanks for the video :) Well worth watching. And not just because of the places it inadvertently led me. Such as Mr Beller's Neighbourhood, kind of like a more localised version of that This American Life thing.

Oh, oops, Taiga got there first :) Never mind.

You both are so lovely, but IT still WONT WORK! Perhaps it's an apple thing? Dont know probably just missing something, there's no green ball chain linkey thing that I can get on to the posting bit. (Does that make any sense?!)

Hmm, I guess you'll have to just write the html bits in your post. For instance: [a href="http://www.miss-cellany.blogspot.com"]miss-cellany[/a ]

replacing the square barackets with the corresponding < and >

Hope that makes sense.

OK, that didn't really work, did it?

Let's try:

[a href="http://www.link.com"]link[/a]

That one should have actually fitted into the comments space.

By the way, there has to be a space between the a and the href= .

Or when you're writing the post you can click "Edit Html" and put the "a href=" stuff around the relevant word in there instead. That way, when you switch back to the "Compose" window and continue writing, you'll be able to read what you're writing without the "a href=" stuff getting in the way.

Anyway, good luck! Let me know if you're still having troubles, I could drop around to your place or something.
